On the old forums, there were several big discussions with regard to making a comic builder. The idea of posing and manipulating characters without needing a big mod or a bunch of tools was moderately appealing. But the very prospect was a bit ahead of its time and considerably impractical.

Then, one day in the off topic section, a discussion of an online comic began. Half-Park was a comic series that boasted the characters of Half-Life and Half-Life 2 in the style that only South Park could offer. This unique comic and its discussion led to new ideas and new possibilities.
