Submission Guidelines:
Do you have a handy HL model or map? Perhaps you made something cool for HL2. If you want to see your custom creations hosted here at the Resource Depot, just submit your work by email ( submissions@bwl.hl2files.com ). But first, make sure it meets the following specifications.
  1. Content must have reasonable file sizes. This is not a mod hosting service. We don’t want a 2GB e-mail.
  2. Files should be housed in .zip or .rar file packages.
  3. Content should be reasonable with no pornographic or adult materials.
  4. You MUST have made the files yourself. DO NOT send us someone else's hard work with your name on it.
  5. Do not submit one .zip file with ten or twenty resources in it. Downloads should be grouped only when they feature a common theme.
Also, be patient after you make a submission. It may take time to post your materials. If you think you submission email might have gotten lost, visit the forums to ask.
Be aware that I cannot verify all claims of theft. If your material is removed on suspicion of copyright theft, your only recourse is to confront your accuser and make them recant. This policy is in place for legal and fairness reasons and will not vary. To report a file, email me at the submissions address.

Friendly Garg Model

A re-skin of the "garg.mdl" model from Half-Life, this file allows you to add the Friendly Garg into your stories. Included in the .zip file are Fgarg.mdl and FgargT.mdl. Simply download and unzip the two .mdl files into a folder together. Use a model viewer to take screenshots of this model for use in your stories.
About: The whole story began with a svencoop map. In this map, I was talking about a "Friendly" Garg. This garg wasn't friendly at first, but after some scientists messed around with his brains, they found a way to control the garg.
Later on in the story the Garg goes too far away and the scientists can't control him anymore. They didn't have to, because the Garg went on by itself, protecting the scientists.
But after a while, military grunts captured the garg. This is where I created the story: "Operation: Save The Friendly Garg". The story was simply for entertainment while reading it because it was important to know why you would have to save a Garg in the map.
In real life, time passed by and I didn't finish my svencoop map. The map is gone, and the story is dead/unfinished. It hasn't been for nothing though, because thanks to all that... I made more stories, and finally I got hosted on planethalflife.com.
The model is now some sort of "logo" and I took that name as mine, Friendly Garg.

Mr. Cuddles Model

It's the golden garg from my first story. He is a friendly, thoughtful being that happens to be very tall... and able to shoot flames.
This is a reskin of the garg.mdl model. The .zip contains the standard two .mdl files. Of course, the model can be renamed and used as a replacement for the garg model in HL.

I use this model in Half-Life based image stories. For that reason, I am offering the model for download.
Burnt Barney

This is a skin I planned to use in my story "I Quit: Barney's New Job". The project was lost when my old computer died. However, I may revive the project as a hand-drawn comic.
In the original storyline, a bomb exploded in Barney's face. Thus, this model of barney with darkened face and scorched uniform was created.
I use this model in Half-Life based image stories. For that reason, I am offering the model for download.
Mr. Nelson

This is my Mr. Nelson model. I use it in Half-Life deathmatch and in Half-Life image stories. For those purposes, I am offering the model for download.
I based this model on one of my university professors. TBO. I later reskinned it and developed the Mr. Nelson character for the "I Quit: Barney's New Job" story. The story progress was lost when my old PC failed. However, the story may return as a hand drawn comic.
In the original storyline, Mr. Nelson is in charge of the themepark that Barney goes to work for.
This model is useable in Deathmatch.
New Secretary

This is my Secretary model for the "I Quit: Barney's New Job" story. The story progress was lost when my old PC failed. However, the story may return as a hand drawn comic.
In the original storyline, The administrator, Mr. Nelson, and a few other characters had secretaries. I used this Gina model with different skins to make those women plus some of the extras in the park.
This skin is the only surviving secretary skin. I recomend using body submodel 2 for stories.
This model is useable in Deathmatch.
The Wildcat

This is the second skin for my Wildcat model, I am retireing the old skin.
The Wildcat is copyright. This is a model based on one of my characters and as such I do not want someone else taking credit for it. I don't mind fanfiction type use, but I reserve the right to hault such use if I feel the character is not being portrayed in a satisfactory representation.
I also expect to be credited with my creation in any such fanfiction. In other words, don't claim my character as your own.
This is my Wildcat model. I use it in Half-Life deathmatch and in Half-Life image stories. For those purposes, I am offering the model for download.

This is a skin I planned to use in my story "I Quit: Barney's New Job". The project was lost when my old computer died. However, I may revive the project as a hand-drawn comic.
In the original storyline, I intended to include a Charlie's Angels joke or two. For that, I made a series of sexy color-coded skins.
I use this model in Half-Life based image stories. For that reason, I am offering the model for download.
Each skin has slightly different designs and markings. I have also included my special "Super" assassin skin (which is a simple red and blue "Superman" type skin) and my "Cancan" skin.
The cancan skin was going to be used during a show that Barney would stumble through while chasing bad guys. It was a musical version of the BMRF incident featuring a chorus line of assassins.

This map was intended to be the first in a series of seemless themepark maps. Don't expect a bunch of grunts or a big story.
I made this map for my "I Quit: Barney's New Job" story. In the plot, Barney goes to work at this themepark.
I designed this map to be the parking garage for a mini-mod style map pack. Each map was another section of the amusement park based on Black Mesa. I planed to make a playable version of the pack available after completion of the story, but lost all progress except for this first map.
I am releasing this map for story making purposes. Be careful of the orange lit corridor. At the foot of the short set of steps, a seemless level transition is active, but targeting a non-existant level.
Administrative Offices

The Administrative Office Complex map was intended as a one map playable "set" for my stories. Don't expect a bunch of grunts or a big story.
I made this map for my "I Quit: Barney's New Job" story. In the plot, Barney goes here to quit his job at Black Mesa.
I designed this map with many extra rooms so it could be used in other stories as well. For that purpose, I am offering the map for download.
You can also use the grunt-o-matic and impulse commands for some fun with grunts. A couple of scientists are present just for scaleing work during the map building process. I did not node graph the map.
Be on the look-out for a few easter-eggs I placed around this map.
